Okachihuali: Strategies for creating new mutualist sonic futures with A.I.
In this artist talk, Moisés delves into the potential of A.I. technologies in fostering new mutualist futures in the realm of sound, examining the research question: "What do A.I. sonic technologies potentiate when we engage with them from a critical, artist-led, decolonial and mutual aid perspective?"
Working under the moniker 𝔥𝔢𝔵𝔬𝔯𝔠𝔦𝔰𝔪𝔬𝔰, Moisés establishes an uncanny connection between the ancient and the digital by critically examining the contemporary electronic music and sonic art landscape.
Throughout the talk, Moisés shares insights on the potential of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of sound and image synthesis, as well as the importance of demystifying neural networks. He discusses his work on SEMILLA, an instrument for interacting with generative neural sound synthesizers, and OIR, an online channel for semi-autonomous meta-DJ trained on thousands of hours of visuals and music from global electronic club music and techno.
Moisés' practice seeks to forge new pathways for collaboration and mutualism in the realm of A.I. and sound, encouraging a deeper understanding of these technologies while emphasizing the importance of artist-led innovation. Join this artist lecture which explores the possibilities that emerge when A.I. sonic technologies are approached with a critical, artist-driven perspective.
